After studying Industrial Design at the Folkwang University of Arts in Essen, Paul Kötz returned to Hamburg and worked as an intern and a full-time employee for different design studios.

Inspired by materials, forms, and an experimental design philosophy, he then focused on his own approach. The aim of paulkoetz is to question the usual, thoughtless use of furniture and to open up new perspectives by focusing on the unconventional.
